LRPE Background

The principals, Thomas E. Cooley, licensed professional chemical engineer in Texas, and his Nigerian partner, Chief (Dr.) Tony Amechi, have been working with the States and the Nigeria Cadastre Office, Ministry of Mines and Steel Development, to secure access to bitumen reserves. We began work in earnest in 2014. We formed Liquefied Resources Ltd. (LR), a Delaware, USA corporation, in November 2015.

In 2022, the Cadastre Office issued international tender for bitumen blocks through Price Waterhouse. Our sister company Liquefied Resources Production and Engineering Ltd. (LRPE) was subsequently awarded 6 mining leases (term 25 years) in May 2023. Two of the mining leases are depicted in the map below.

Company Profile

The original Nigerian company was formed in 2010 to develop Nigerian hydrocarbon based projects on a BOOM basis. (Build, Own, Operate, Maintain). It was supplanted by a new subsidiary Liquefied Resources Production and Engineering Ltd. (LRPE) in 2019 to better focus on bitumen projects in Ogun and Ondo States. LRPE is also interested in Natural Gas Utilization Projects and hydrocarbon based petrochemical projects.

LRPE’s sister company, Liquefied Resources Ltd. (LRUSA), is a US registered corporation in Delaware formed in 2015. LRUSA focuses on supplying geological survey of the Nigerian bitumen blocks and the requires extraction technology and engineering construction expertise necessary for commercial production by LRPE.

Opportunity:

Nigeria has huge bitumen and/or bitumen reserves. These reserves are mostly in the Ogun, Edo, and Ondo States. The probable reserves producible by some method of heat injection are estimated by a Conoco study to be 26 billion barrels of oil equivalent.

Liquefied Resources Ltd. and its Nigerian sister company Liquefied Resources Production & Engineering Ltd. have been granted bitumen blocks in Ondo, Ogun and Edo States by the Nigeria office of Cadastre. They will be developing a bitumen project , which will be a green field project comprised of:
